We are very pleased to welcome two new team members, building on our existing strengths to continue to drive Unipart Rail’s position as a proven innovator of performance improvement technology.
It is a pleasure to introduce Harish Kathiresan, Head of Research & Innovation, and Gareth Gilson, Senior Programme Manager.
Harish will be based in Doncaster but will be responsible for our Research & Innovation activities across all Unipart Rail sites. He is a Qualified Engineer with a degree in mechatronics and has ten years of industrial experience holding senior innovation management roles.
As he has a strong background in stakeholder management working with industry, academia, and SMEs to support the introduction of new innovation to deliver business growth, Harish will build on our existing strengths to continue to drive Unipart Rail’s position as a proven innovator.
Also based in Doncaster, Gareth’s appointment strengthens our capability in professional Project Management and he will provide support for all major portfolio and programme activities across all Unipart Rail sites.
He is a chartered programme manager (PMI), holds a Bachelor’s degree as well as a Ph.D in Mechanical & Thermal Engineering, and is a six sigma Black Belt with over 15 years industrial experience in Power Generation, Aviation, Construction and Retail.
Gareth’s expertise in planning, risk management, change control, cost management, product design/release and implementation of lean six sigma continuous improvement techniques will support us in driving Unipart Rail’s position as an innovation leader, delivering performance improvement for our industry partners.
